During the 2021 Tulsa National Tournament opening Richard Beckwith presented Alex Moiseyev his “Tournament Honoree” plaque and followed with a short meeting and ceremony where Alex signed two contracts for World Title Matches: 1) 3-moves restrictions Independent Challenge Match with reigning World Champion Sergio Scarpetta at venue - ICHF, Petal, Mississippi, 2022 January 13-22, Referee - Charles Walker, and 2) 11-man ballot World Title Match with Challenger EX Alex Holmes, venue - Tulsa, OK, Courtyard Marriott Hotel, 2022 February 21-24/25, Referee - Ryan Pronk. All parties signed their match contracts during this ceremony.
EX Alex Holmes from Indiana finished 2nd at the ACF 11-Man Ballot National in Vidor, TX at Holiday Inn Suites - July 8-10, 2021. The tournament was hosted by the City of Vidor, Texas and sanctioned by America Checker Federation (ACF). EX Alex Holmes earned the right to challenge GM Alex Moiseyev to an 11-Man Ballot World Title Match. Alex won his finish position by one honor point over his Father, MS Michael Holmes of Virginia. The 2022 11-Man Ballot World Title Match with EX
Alex Holmes, Challenger against GM Alex Moiseyev the
reigning
World Champion for the past 14 years, will be played
at Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Tulsa,
Oklahoma, February 21-24, 4 games per day. If score is even after 16 games, they
will play 4 more games. All selected openings will be checked by Referee vs
Kingsrow list of 11 man ballot drawn openings list.
Time control - 1 hour to each player for 24 moves + 30 seconds increment.
Main Referee is Ryan Pronk, and all games streamed on “YouTube” which You may watch
this match from start to finish.
Joe McDaniel with his family are our gracious tournament sponsors who provided a
prize fund of $5,000 and will be divided among players in standard distribution
60-40-50.

The live stream will be scheduled each day, so anyone who visits that direct
link will be able access it from the page. If they check the channel a few days
prior to the first day of the match, they'll be able to get a notification to be

Selecting the openings from the Kingsrow list of
11-man ballot drawn openings was used recently at
the 11-man ballot National in Vidor, TX in 2021 and it worked quite well.
This is an improvement over deciding if an open is playable. We are thankful and most appreciative for Ed Gilbert’s outstanding "Kingsrow"
effort analyzing the
11-Man 2,500 ballots. Ed created an 11-Man opening book file that
contains 1.1M positions and has play for all 2,500 ballots and identified which
ballots are losses, and developed a difficulty rating for each ballot of the
2,500 opening deck. He identified 247 lost ballots (222 Black Wins and 25
White Wins) and removing those which
leaves 2,253 11-Man drawn ballots.

The final game of the 2022 11-man Ballot World Championship Match, Game 13, is listed below. The game was a draw, and Alex Moiseyev retained his 11-man Ballot World Championship Title, winning the match 5-1-7.
